Goal Setting - Sport Psych Saturday

"You have to set your goals so that you can push yourself harder. Desire is the key to success." - Usain Bolt

My Post-6-1-1

In this week's Sport Psych Saturday, Brad talks about using a 6 step process in order to successfully reach your goals!

1.) Determine what your goal is!
2.) Be clear and specific so your goals are easier to achieve. This also helps you know how and where to get started!
3.) Measurable goals such as time or distance can be tracked. This allows you to see and visualize your progress.
4.) Ask yourself, "is my goal actually attainable?" Make sure you can reasonably accomplish your goal within a certain time frame.
5.) Is your goal realistic for your schedule/ day-to-day routine? Start small! One step in the door is a step in the right direction.
6.) Every goal needs a target date; something that motivates you to really apply your focus and dedication!
